The Ohio Department of Transportation will start new projects this month.

In Mahoning County, U.S. Route 62 between U.S. Route 422 and Belle Avenue will have various daily lane restrictions for resurfacing beginning March 24.

This work is the beginning of a $1.7 million project for resurfacing on Route 62 from Route 422 to Belle Avenue and on state Route 170 between Powers Way and Glenwood Avenue. The entire project is scheduled to be completed by August.

Beginning Tuesday, U.S. Route 224 between Interstate 680 and Tiffany Boulevard will be reduced to one lane in each direction for roadway widening and interchange modifications. Motorists should expect delays in this area.

This work is part of a $5.4 million project to widen the Route 224 bridge over I-680 and improve the I-680/Route 224 interchange. The entire project is scheduled to be completed by late October.

Beginning Monday, Route 224 between the Portage County line and state Route 534 and Route 534 between Route 224 and the Trumbull County line will have various daily lane restrictions for resurfacing.

This work is part of a $3 million project to resurface Route 224 and Route 534 in Mahoning, Portage and Trumbull counties. The entire project is scheduled to be completed by September.

In Trumbull County, Mayburn Corners Barclay Road over Sugar Creek between state Route 5 and Burnett East Road is closed through late June for a bridge replacement. The detour is Burnett East Road to Route 5.

This work is the beginning of a $455,000 project to replace the Mayburn Corners Barclay Road bridge over Sugar Creek between Route 5 and Burnett East. The entire project is scheduled to be completed by August.

In Hubbard Township, Mount Everett Road under Interstate 80 has occasional lane restrictions for roadway construction. This work is the beginning of a $11.8 million project to replace the two bridges on I-80 over Mount Everett Road. The entire project is scheduled to be completed by October 2016.
