Warren man charged with raping an ex-girlfriend.

Anthony Reeves, 22, of Jefferson Street Southwest is in Trumbull County Jail in lieu of $175,000 bond, charged with raping an ex-girlfriend.

He appeared for arraignment Friday in Warren Municipal Court before Judge Terry F. Ivanchak.

Police arrested Reeves earlier this week after a 26-year-old Belmont Street woman reported that Reeves raped her early Monday.

She said she went home and found that Reeves, an ex-boyfriend who is the father of her children, was at the house.

She told police he comes to the house to see the children sometimes, and she told him he could stay but he needed to sleep on the couch.

He refused to leave her room and raped her, she told police. She kicked him in the face and beat him during and after the assault, then he left.

A police officer observed several black-and-blue marks on her neck and chest. Police took her to St. Joseph Health Center for treatment.
