Dinner to benefit YWD cancer patient

YOUNGSTOWN

Friends of the Youngstown Water Department, with help from family and friends, will sponsor a benefit pasta dinner from noon to 5 p.m. April 6 in Gutman Hall at St. Christine Church, 3125 S. Schenley Ave., for Eddie Rivera, who has been diagnosed with a rare type of cancer.

A basket auction, 50-50 raffle and silent auction will be featured.

Tickets for the pasta dinner will be $8 for adults and $4 for children.

Takeouts will be available.

Dinners consist of meatballs, salad and dessert, and beer will be available.

Rivera has worked 25 years for the YWD. He has a wife of 22 years and two daughters.
