C.H. Campbell Elementary School students and their families celebrated the school’s annual Spring Fest with games, food and fun March 6.

The evening offered bounce-arounds, a photo booth, a disc jockey, games, classroom raffles, face painting, Porgie the Clown performing a magic show and a Chinese auction, which featured 70 baskets donated from local businesses. The nine classroom raffles consisted of items donated from students and their families.

“Spring Fest is a fundraiser for C.H. and is our largest family event. We are expecting around 700 people tonight. Proceeds from the evening will go toward purchasing technology for the entire school,” said Christy Durham, C.H. Campbell PTO president and Spring Fest chair.

Along with all the fun and games, dinner was served in the cafeteria, with the food donated by Cocca’s Pizza.

Numerous PTO volunteers helped in all aspects of the evening, from selling raffle tickets to manning the photo booth.

“We really appreciate everyone’s help and support. Our parents really step up and help out. We even have parents who come back to help. This is a great event and it gets bigger and better each year. It’s great to see everyone since it is a family event. The kids love it,” Durham said.
