Man faces charges
YOUNGSTOWN
A West Boston Avenue man is in Mahoning County jail after police reports said he assaulted a Youngstown City Hall security guard about 1 p.m. Tuesday.
Reports said that Luther Reviere Jr., 55, was in city hall doing community-service work and was becoming frustrated because he kept setting the metal detector off since he had a lot of metal in his pockets and had to keep stepping through. After he stepped through the last time, he swore as he got on an elevator and then banged on the doors from the inside as the elevator went up, reports said.
Reviere came back down a few minutes later and swore again. When a guard tried to calm him down, he pushed the guard and had to be wrestled to the ground in front of the mayor’s office. Reviere faces charges of resisting arrest, assault and disorderly conduct.
