Task force investigating suspected drug activity at South Side house

YOUNGSTOWN — Members of the Mahoning Valley Law Enforcement Task Force searched a house today on the South Side as part of a drug investigation.

Members of the task force were at the home at 336 Edwards Ave. about 9 a.m. .

Austintown Police Detective Sgt. Rob Whited of the task force would only say the search was part of a “narcotics investigation” and no one has been taken into custody as of yet.

At least two people were on the front porch as police were inside, one covered by a blanket and one in handcuffs, before they went inside with police, who could be seen taking pictures inside the house.
