Pet expo will return with fashion show

The Northeast Ohio Pet Expo Show and Sale will return to Eastwood Expo Center this weekend.
Trainers, retailers, groomers, pet food manufacturers, pet resorts and lodges, pet service specialists, apparel makers and photographers will have booths at the expo. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
The popular pet fashion show will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, where attendees who bring their pets in costume can win prizes.
There will also be a Yappy Hour at the cafe Saturday afternoon.
Animal communicator Doris Straka will be on hand to help pet owners. She will tell attendees what their pet is really feeling and provide suggestions to help with a variety of pet issues, including sources of pain, changes in behavior and overcoming bad habits.
Straka will present seminars and one-on-one sessions.
Pets will be offered for sale, rescue and adoption. All local animal charities will be represented.
Live animals will also be on exhibit.
Pet owners can learn about new products and services direct from the companies, who will offer demonstrations.
Training and grooming services will be offered on site, or attendees can make an appointment.
There will also be workshops and education seminars with veterinarians.
A pet vacation will be awarded, and there will also be raffles, door prizes, and food for adults and pets.
Admission is $5 (free for children under 12).
Attendees are encouraged to bring their pets as long as they are friendly and the owners are responsible for them at all times.
