At its 25th annual meeting in February, the Stambaugh Pillars elected new officers and discussed the upcoming fundraising events for the year.

Newly elected officers are Karl Roach, chairman; Barbara Banks, vice chairman; Kay Fuller, recording secretary; Leilani Drake, corresponding secretary; and Barbara Tinkham, treasurer.

The Bands at the Baugh concert series was discussed. From June through September, four dates of entertainment are scheduled on the third Thursday of each month. Also discussed was the holiday fashion show and a dinner before Opera Western Reserve’s production of Don Giovanni, scheduled for Nov. 14.

More news about Stambaugh Pillars events will be released later.

Those who wish to join Stambaugh Pillars may call the administrative office at Stambaugh Auditorium at 330-747-5175, email info@stambaughauditorium.com or visit www.stambaughauditorium.com and click the Stambaugh Pillars logo for details.

Stambaugh Pillars’ goal is to develop and perpetuate an interest in the auditorium, promote Pillars membership and provide financial support to the auditorium by organizing fundraisers and other events.

Stambaugh Auditorium opened in 1926 thanks to a generous gift of Youngstown-area businessman Henry H. Stambaugh. The concert hall, which seats 2,553, is known for its near-perfect acoustics.
