Girard Hall of Fame to induct 10 on April 12

The Girard Hall of Fame will induct 10 during ceremonies on April 12 at Leo’s Ristorante in Howland.

The honorees are: Dustin Helle (class of 2003), Tealle Hunkus (2003), Randy Mason Jr. (2002), Michael Cardiero (1979), Michael DelBene (2002), Webster Dawson (1955), Ken Vaughan (1953), Claire Purdum (1929), Jane Harris (Community Service Award) and Edward Crish (Community Service Award).

The banquet begins at 7 p.m. Tickets are $40 and available at Girard High School, Melfi’s Pizza Parlor or from Mark Zuppo at 330-501-5385.

The committee also will award its first Girard Hall of Fame Student-Athlete Scholarship. One female and one male athlete will each receive a $500 scholarship.
