Annual gardening symposium April 5
NEW CASTLE, PA.
The Penn State Master Gardeners of Lawrence County will present its annual gardening symposium, titled “You Asked For It!” from 8:15 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 5 at the Ben Franklin Early Learning Center, 815 Cunningham Ave.
Topics to be covered include “Grasses in your Landscape” presented by Brandon and Connie Ratvasky; “Small Trees for Western Pa. Landscapes” by Eric Oesterling; “Once Upon a Butterfly” by Jodi Hopper and Joelene Meiners; and “Pruning Small Fruit Trees” by Steve Johnston.
Cost is $35 per person and includes a continental breakfast, lunch and a workshop packet. Registration is required by April 2. Register online at extension.psu.edu/gardening/events or call 724-774-3003.
