Mayor McNally says he considering sale of 20 Federal Place
YOUNGSTOWN — Mayor John A. McNally outlined his priorities today during his first State of the City address.
McNally, in office since January, said he is “strongly considering” selling the city-owned 20 Federal Place downtown office building, streamlining the city’s demolition process that has a number of glitches, and taking a closer look at leasing oil and gas rights to city properties, except parks, to raise revenue for the city.
McNally spoke for about 35 minutes today at a Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber breakfast at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Social Hall.
The mayor also said he wants to come to a resolution with Youngstown Municipal Court judges over a longstanding dispute regarding court facilities, and praised the success of the Covelli Centre during his speech.
