Stratton elected to a two-year term on solid waste policy committee
YOUNGSTOWN
James P. Stratton of Boardman, who was the first director of the Mahoning County Solid Waste District from 1990-98, has been elected to a two-year term on the county’s solid waste policy committee.
Stratton, who was elected by the committee this morning, is now a computer and telecommunications consultant and president of JPS Consulting Inc..
He succeeds Dr. Kristine Shoemaker of Beloit, whose term expired.
Dr. Shoemaker, a retired dentist, served six years on the seven-member committee, which oversees the county’s recycling efforts.
