Portion of Columbiana Co. road named after fallen Marine

COLUMBUS — Gov. John Kasich signed legislation today designating a road in memory of a fallen Marine near Wellsville in Columbiana County.

A portion of state Route 45 will be named in memory of Marine Cpl. Ernest G. Madden, who was killed in action in Vietnam in May 1967.

The portion of the route between Lisbon Street in Wellsville north to the Madison Township line will be designated the “Corporal Ernest G. Madden Memorial Highway.”
