New play to get a stage reading

Victorian Players Theater has rescheduled the stage reading of “Walk Abreast,” a new play by local playwright C. Richard Haldi.

The reading will be at 2 p.m. March 15 at the theater, 702 Mahoning Ave. Admission is free.

The reading was originally scheduled for Jan. 25 but was postponed because of heavy snow.

“Walk Abreast” tells the story of how a woman deals with breast cancer with her husband, daughter and friends.
