“Almost Human” (8 p.m., Fox): This show is almost canceled, although it could squeeze out a renewal. If you’re a fan, you’ll probably want to watch tonight’s season finale just in case.

“Bates Motel” (9 p.m., A&E): Hide the silverware! The “Psycho” prequel, “Bates Motel,” returns for another season of shivery thrills. The opener airs right before the debut of “Those Who Kill,” a crime drama starring Chlok Sevigny (“Big Love”) as a Pittsburgh homicide detective.

“South Park” (9:30 P.M., COMEDY CENTRAL): Last December’s “Game of Thrones”-skewering “Black Friday Trilogy” airs in its entirety.

“Beat Bobby Flay” (10 p.m., Food): Relax, that’s not a command. It’s the name of a new competitive cooking series.

“Stalked: SOMEONE’S WATCHING” (10 P.M., ID): Maybe, but we’ll wager not many.

“Lost Girl” (10 p.m., Syfy): It’s Christmas, and Bo goes all “Groundhog Day.”

Program on roots of Irish step dancing

Youngstown

The Brier Hill Cultural Center, 145 Jefferson St., will host a talk by Jenny Beil, spokesperson for the Burke School of Irish Dance, at 10 a.m. Saturday.

In the program, part of the Brier Hill Breakfast Series, Beil will discuss the roots of Irish step dancing and outline the 50-plus-year history of the Burke school, which has branches in Youngstown, Cleveland and Pittsburgh.

Admission is $5, which includes refreshments and secured parking. For further information, call Richard Scarsella, chair of the event, at 330-726-8277.

The Brier Hill Cultural Center, formerly St. Casimir Church, is dedicated to celebrating the Mahoning Valley’s cultural diversity, while serving as an anchor in the historic Brier Hill neighborhood. It is located just off Martin Luther King Boulevard (U.S. Route 422).
