Federation will mark Hungarian war date

YOUNGSTOWN

The American-Hungarian Federation of Churches & Societies of Youngstown will commemorate the 1848 Hungarian War of Independence.

The event will begin at 2:30 p.m. March 16 at the Youngstown American Hungarian Club, 2219 Donald Ave.

The program will look into the history of Hungary during the 1800s and 1900s. Local musicians will share traditional melodies, and poems will be recited. Father Louis Pintye O.F.M. will speak.

Afterward refreshments will be served.
