The heroic event may have happened anywhere, but must have occurred between Jan. 1, 2013, and this April 1. Examples of potential nominees are someone who entered a burning house to rescue a trapped family, pulled a drowning child to safety, or administered CPR to a stranger.
To nominate a local hero who has saved a life, for information about the event or to get a nomination form, call 330-392-2551. The deadline for nominations is April 10.
