Amateur radio club will host classes

The Western Reserve Amateur Radio Club, www.wrarc.net, will sponsor classes for the entry-level Technicians Class license. The class is the first of three levels of operating privileges. The General Class and Amateur Extra Class are the next two levels. Morse Code is no longer required to obtain a license. Classes will be conducted from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesdays at ITT Tech, 1030 N. Meridian Road, beginning April 2 and ending April 30. An American Radio Relay League-registered instructor will conduct the class, and local ARRL Volunteer Examiner Coordinators will administer the exam at the end. There is no charge for the classes, but requirements are to register by March 21 and buy the Technicians Class book by Gordon West, WB6NOA.
