Guardian Angels of Ohio, a volunteer guardianship program of Trumbull County Probate Court, is looking for volunteers. Angel volunteers receive training to become advocates who reach out as friends to seniors who may need a friendly phone call, a visit in a nursing home, or a visit at home. They also are involved in planning special events for seniors such as health fairs and Make a Difference Day projects. State St., will be the location of a free lunch and learn at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, sponsored by the nutrition students at Youngstown State University for local senior citizens. The topic will be “Cholesterol and Eating on a Budget.” The menu will include sloppy joe on a wheat bun, fresh fruit cup, side salad and coffee or water. There is no age or residency requirement.
