BOARDMAN

On Dec. 28, 2013, Rebecca Sumner and Matthew Linehan were united in marriage during a 1:30 p.m. ceremony at St. Charles Church as the Rev. Phillip Rogers officiated.

The couple received congratulations during a reception afterward at The Lake Club in Poland. They traveled to Antigua for their honeymoon and reside in Shaker Heights.

The bride is the daughter of Deverah Sumner of Boardman and the late Jon Sumner. The groom is the son of Peter and Carolyn Hardin-Levine of Shaker Heights and James Linehan and Susan Sedwick of Nichols Hills, Okla.

Swarovski crystals and seed pearls adorned the bride’s candlelight satin gown, which was hand-brocaded. The dress featured a scalloped hem with a chapel-length train, a sweetheart neckline and crystal-embellished spaghetti straps.

The bride’s cousin Natasha Moletta was her maid of honor, and bridesmaids were Becky Walkinshaw and Katie Linehan, the groom’s sister.

Best man for the groom was his brother, Daniel Linehan, and groomsmen were Jeff Kidd and Joe Woodard. The attendants wore eggplant-colored dresses.

Mrs. Linehan graduated with a bachelor’s degree in English from Mount Union College, and a bachelor’s degree in French from Youngstown State University. She earned a master’s degree in English, also from YSU. She is employed as a teacher of English as a second language.

Mr. Linehan earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Oklahoma and a juris doctor degree from Case Western Reserve University. He is employed as an associate attorney.
