Taylor Carkido, Brian Cowles plan spring rites

CANFIELD

Denise and Wayne Carkido of Canfield are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Taylor Nicole Carkido of Canfield, and Brian Joseph Cowles of Poland.

His parents are Phyllis and Orton Cowles of Poland.

The couple are planning a 1 p.m. ceremony April 12 at St. Michael Church. A reception will follow at St. Mary Assumption Social Center in Youngstown. Invitations will be extended for both.

The bride-elect earned a degree in English from the University of Mount Union. She teaches freshman English in Austintown Local Schools.

Her fiancé is a trooper for the Ohio State Highway Patrol in Canfield. He also is a member of the U.S. Air Force Reserve.
