“Last Tango in Halifax” (8 p.m., PBS): “Last Tango in Halifax,” the British comedy-drama about second chances, returns with fresh episodes. They begin with Celia and Alan (Anne Reid and Derek Jacobi) trying to plan a secret wedding as soon as possible.

“Reckless” (9 p.m., CBS): “Reckless” is a steamy new legal drama in which two opposing attorneys (Anna Wood and Cam Gigandet) try to keep the fact that they have the hots for each other a secret as they square off in a sex-scandal case involving members of the Charleston, South Carolina, police department.

“Masterpiece Mystery!” (9 p.m., PBS): The second season of “Endeavour” premieres.

“The Leftovers” (10 p.m., HBO): Call it the creepiest disappearing act ever. In “The Leftovers,” 2 percent of the world’s population suddenly vanishes in a rapturelike event. Now, those left behind struggle to make sense of what happened.

Ox Roast returns next weekend

MESOPOTAMIA

The annual Ox Roast, sponsored by the Mesopotamia Volunteer Fire Department, will be July 4-6 at state Routes 87 and 534.

Admission is free.

The centerpiece of the event are the barbeque beef sandwiches, roasted on a spit over an open fire for eight hours.

More than 160 vendors will be at the festival.

There will also be a large flea market and live entertainment daily, with Fort Huntsburg Band, Jungle Terry, Rock’n’Country Cloggers, Take II, Drake Hollow, TheRoundTooits and several other bands.
