Flower show gives blue ribbon awards

YOUNGSTOWN

The Davis Education and Visitor Center in Fellows Riverside Gardens was the setting for the Garden Forum June flower show.

Chairwomen were Millie Campean and Irene John, and judges were Beverly Patrick, Rose Marie Roth and Dianna Mullins.

Blue ribbon winners in design were Campean, Dolly Vivalo and Joyce Dunbar.

Horticulture blue ribbons were awarded to Mullins, Sheila Bowman and Rosemary Fuller, Nature Lovers Garden Club; Rose Marie Roth, Mary Lou Flere and Dunbar, Gleaners; Cindy Salerno, member at large; Peggy Potts, Johnny Appleseed; and P.J. Miller, Austintown.

National Garden Club Awards were earned by Campean, design excellence; Salerno, growers choice award and award of merit in horticulture; and Mullins, horticulture excellence and collectors showcase.
