3 Phantoms selected in NHL Draft


— Two Youngstown Phantoms from the 2013-14 season and another from the 2012-13 season were selected Saturday in the NHL Draft.

In the second round, the St. Louis Blues drafted forward Max Letunov, a native of Moscow who is on the Phantoms' protected list for next season.

With the 89th pick, the Washington Capitals selected forward Nathan Walker, the Australia native for finished the 2012-13 season with the Phantoms after playing many seasons of junior hockey in the Czech Republic.

With the 103 pick, the Toronto Maple Leafs took forward JJ Piccinich who finished his junior career with the Phantoms in April.
