TAG Annual is now accepting entries

The TAG Annual, a juried exhibition for artists living within 100 miles of Warren, is now accepting entries.

Artists who are at least 18 years old can obtain information and download an entry fee at trumbullartgallery.com.

All work must be original, current (completed within the last three years), and never have been exhibited at the Trumbull Art Gallery, 158 N. Park Ave. Deadline is Aug. 17.

Student wins award from Packard Band

WARREN

Rebecca Lynn Shelton, a 2014 graduate of Maplewood High School, has been awarded the Adone T. Calderone Award for Musical Excellence by the W.D. Packard Concert Band. The annual award goes to an outstanding member of their high school band who plans to study music in college.

Shelton, the daughter of Angeline and Lucas Shelton, played the euphonium in the Maplewood Concert Band, Pep Band and Jazz Band. She also performed with the Concert Choir and the Madrigal Choir. She will attend the Dana School of Music at Youngstown State University in the fall.
