Retired Euclid superintendent to lead Youngstown academic distress commission
Joffrey Jones, retired superintendent of Euclid Schools, will be the next chairman of the Youngstown City Schools Academic Distress Commission.
According to the Euclid City Schools website, Jones became superintendent in 2002, after spending 12 years with Mentor Public Schools as a principal and assistant superintendent. Prior to arriving in Mentor, Jones worked 18 years as an English teacher and coach at Parma City Schools. He retired from Euclid in 2012.
