Lindsay Kollar and Robert Thompson are engaged, her parents, Donald and Marla Kollar, are announcing. All reside in Poland.

Parents of the prospective groom are Julie Simington of Poland and Robert Thompson of Ambridge, Pa.

The open wedding will take place at 12:30 p.m. Sept. 6 at Poland Presbyterian Church. Hotel Conneaut at Conneaut Lake, Pa., will be the site of the reception, for which invitations will be extended.

The bride-to-be graduated from Mercy College with a degree in nursing.

The prospective groom attends Universal Technical Institute and Youngstown State University, where he studies mechanical engineering. He is employed in sales for Dearing Compressor in Youngstown.
