FOOD SALES AND DINNERS


THURSDAY

Poland United Methodist Church, 1940 Boardman-Poland Road, will have takeout dinners available from 3:30 p.m. until sold out. The cost is $6. No need to preorder or get out of the car; just drive to the front of the church, and your meal of baked stuffed chicken breast, mashed potatoes and green beans will be ready.

VFW Post 6488, 2065 Coitsville-Hubbard Road, Youngstown, will sell wing dings and fries starting at 6 p.m. For information call the post home at 330-746-8259.

FRIDAY

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at 330-792-1005.

SATURDAY

Mount Zion Baptist Church Men’s Day, 827 Wilson Ave., Youngstown, will host a fish dinner for $10 each from 11 a.m. until the food is gone. The menu includes macaroni and cheese and coleslaw.

North Lima Mennonite Church, 90 Mennonite Drive, will serve an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet from 7 to 10 a.m. for a donation. Menu consists of eggs, pancakes, french toast, sausage, potatoes, homemade rolls, sausage gravy and biscuits, peppers and mushrooms, coffee, orange juice and other beverages. SUNDAY

Our Lady of Sorrows Parish will host a spaghetti dinner from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Sts. Cyril & Methodius Church’s social hall, 252 E. Wood St., Youngstown. The meal includes two meat balls, salad, bread and butter, cake, coffee and tea. The cost is $7 for adults and $4.50 for children. Takeouts are available after the 8 a.m. Mass and at the dinner; containers are provided at no charge. Quarts of chicken noodle and wedding soups and homemade vanilla and anise pizzelles will be available for purchase. Our Lady of Sorrows Seniors Club is sponsoring the dinner.
