Hoppel's Rodeo sets its return

The annual Hoppel’s Rodeo will take place July 4 and 5 at 7:30 p.m. at Hoppel’s arena, 40891 state Route 518.

There will be a fireworks display July 4 after the rodeo performance.

The rodeo is geared toward families, who will experience the traditions of the Old West. Cowboys and cowgirls will compete in calf roping, barrel racing, bronc riding and bull riding. Local and regional contestants compete for points so they might qualify for the top spots in the year-end finals. More than 150 contestants will be entered in the two performances.

All veterans will be admitted free (with proper ID) to the July 4 rodeo performance.
