YMCA Adult, Youth Triathlon set July 20

The Central YMCA’s annual Adult and Youth Triathlon will take place July 20.

The event has age divisions ranging from 3-5 years to 80 years and older.

The first heat of the adult triathlon starts at 7 a.m. and consists of a 500-yard swim, 12-mile bike ride and 3.2-mile run. Youth races start after the adult race with swim, bike and run distances varying by age groups.

Registration prices are $48 for adult Y members, $58 for nonmembers and $99 for a team. The price for children is $20 per child and $14 for each additional child with a maximum of $48 per family for Y members and $26 per child and $20 for each additional child with a maximum of $66 per family for nonmembers.

Athletes must be registered by noon July 18. There is no race-day registration.
