Campbell police arrest man on weapons charge

CAMPBELL

A 20-year-old Warren man will answer to a fourth-degree felony charge of carrying a concealed weapon in Campbell Municipal Court at 9 a.m. Tuesday.

City police arrested Darrin S. Howell Jr. of Atlantic Street Northwest at 5:40 p.m. Friday following a traffic stop on Courtland Avenue. Howell, who was a passenger in the car, appeared to be extremely nervous during the stop, according to a police report.

A search of Howell produced a loaded semi-automatic handgun, two cellphones and $1,614 in cash. Howell posted his $10,000 bond.
