The Hungarian Cultural Center of Northeastern Ohio’s annual picnic will be Sunday at their club grounds, 12027 Abbott Road. The event is shared with the Buckeye Road Nationalities Group.

Gates will open at 11 a.m. and admission is $5 per person, with children under 12 entering for free.

Authentic Hungarian food will be available for purchase, including stuffed cabbage, laci pecsenye (pork slices), kolbasz (Hungarian sausage), potatoes, langos, a bacon fry, Hungarian gulyas, pastries and beverages.

Music will be provided by the Harmonia Orchestra, playing Hungarian and Slovak favorites, from 2 to 6 p.m. in the club’s dance pavilion.

Activities are planned for children, including hands-on crafts, which will encourage their interest in Hungarian ethnicity.
