Retiring Hubbard schools chief made indelible imprint on district
Mr. Richard Buchenic, thank you for your many years of service to our schools, students and our community. Your dedication and service is evident throughout Hubbard.
All one has to do is take a drive down Hall Avenue to appreciate the beautiful Hubbard schools campus, which took place under your direction and supervision. We now have three new state-of-the-art schools to complement our pool and auditorium. Additionally, we have a new baseball complex and track facility.
Anyone who attended Hubbard football games this past season couldn’t help but feel the pride of our school, team and community with the renovation of our football field, one of the best in the area.Let’s also not forget about our new Board of Education office building. Most importantly, thanks to you, your staff and students, Hubbard schools continue to maintain a rating of excellence.
What an asset to draw people to our town and to maintain and increase the value of our homes.
Rich, few if any superintendents in Ohio will ever equal your accomplishments. Thanks to you, we can all look at the historic Hubbard Eagle crowning the arches leading to Hubbard High School and feel the Eagle pride. We know the history, traditions and legends will never be forgotten and will continue for all future generations of Eagles.
We wish you a well-deserved happy and healthy retirement.
Al and Marcia Sauline, Hubbard
