Youngstown police issue warrant for store shooting suspect

YOUNGSTOWN

Police issued a warrant late Wednesday for a suspect in a shooting at a South Avenue store Wednesday afternoon that injured two people.

Police are looking for 24-year-old Tyrell Maiden of Youngstown, who is charged with two counts of felonious assault.

Police said Maiden went into the store at 3211 South Ave. looking for another man he was arguing with and several shots were fired, wounding the 25-year-old owner and a 12-year-old boy who was also there.

Both men fled the store after the shooting.

The victims are expected to recover.
