SALEM SUPER CRUISE

The Salem Super Cruise also will return this week, piggybacking on the Steel Valley Super Nationals. Hot rodders of every stripe will choke the streets of downtown Salem each night as they crawl through the city, revving their engines. The Super Cruise is also a street festival with several stages for live music and plenty of vendors. Here is the schedule:

TONIGHT

4 to 9 p.m.: Kickoff cruise at Timberlanes lot and Arby’s.

6:30 to 9:30 p.m.: SOBOS band at the Broadway Stage (South Broadway Avenue at East State Street).

FRIDAY

Noon to 1 p.m.: Show-car cruising at Timberlanes lot and Arby’s.

5 to 10 p.m.: Free public parking and shuttle service to downtown from lots on Roosevelt Avenue and Dairy Queen.

5 to 8 p.m.: Antique-car show at Centennial Park.

6:30 to 8:30 p.m.: Uptown Saturday Night Band at Broadway Stage.

9 to 11 p.m.: Manhattan Band at Broadway Stage.

SATURDAY

1 to 5 p.m.: K105 live broadcast with Doug and MaryAnn at Broadway Stage.

6:30 to 8:30 p.m.: Zach Paxson Band at Broadway Stage.

9 to 11 p.m.: Mainstreet Lions Band at Broadway Stage.

SUNDAY

10 a.m. to 3 p.m.: Auto Cross at Salem High School parking lot.

11 a.m. to 5 p.m.: Show and Shine at Timberlanes lot.

12:30 to 2:30 p.m.: River Hawk Band at Broadway Stage.

3 to 5 p.m.: Gordon James Band at Broadway Stage.
