No one was injured after a home in the 2400 block of Logan Avenue was shot at several times Monday morning.

Police were called to the home about 12:25 a.m., where the 33-year-old man who lives there told officers he was awakened by several gunshots.

Police found three bullet holes in the porch and two in an upstairs bedroom.

Another man and the 6-year-old son of the home-owner were in the house at the time, reports said.

A Miami Avenue man was taken to the Mahoning County jail after police found 15 pills in his possession during a traffic stop, reports say.

Officers pulled over a car driven by 22-year-old Jeffrey Fuller about 10:10 p.m. Monday at South Avenue and the entrance to U.S. Route 62/state Route 7 freeway for running a red light.

A records check showed he had a warrant, but reports did not say what that warrant was. When he was searched, the pills were found in a pill bottle.

He was charged with possession of dangerous drugs and awaits his arraignment in municipal court today.

$8,500 bond set

CAMPBELL

Bond for a 20-year-old Youngstown man arrested Monday on multiple charges, including carrying concealed weapons, was set at $8,500, 10 percent cash or surety, in Campbell Municipal Court on Tuesday.

Askari H. Loury of Hudson Avenue also faces charges of prescription-label required and reckless operation on streets. Police stopped Loury about 8:20 p.m. Monday after noticing his car speeding on McCartney Road, then losing its traction on all four wheels and skidding across the roadway. Loury told police that he was “just trying to get away,” as someone had pulled a gun on him.

According to the report, officers searched the car, finding two prescription pills and a loaded handgun. Loury was held without bond at Mahoning County jail.

Vacant-house fire

YOUNGSTOWN

A fire at a vacant 163 W. Marion Ave. home about 12:17 a.m. Tuesday caused $6,600 in damage, fire reports said. The first crews there found a fire in the back of the home, reports said.

Two firefighters were injured slightly.

The cause is listed as under investigation.
