UPDATE | MLK Blvd. reopens after gas leak

YOUNGSTOWN — Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard has been reopened after Dominion East Ohio Gas crews were able to repair a gas-line leak.

A fire department spokeswoman said crews had been there since just after 11 a.m.

Initial reports said an Ohio Edison Co. crew drilling on the street to insert a utility pole inadvertently struck the gas line, causing it to rupture.
