Fitch '76 & Friends plan fundraising golf outing

The third annual Fitch ’76 & Friends Golf Outing is planned for Aug. 24 at Lakeside Golf Course, 2404 SE River Road.

The event, in conjunction with MDA, supports Fitch alumni and friends in need as well as Austintown children afflicted with muscular dystrophy.

The entire community is invited to join the 9 a.m. four-person scramble, shotgun start. For $65, golfers will get 18 holes with cart and skins, morning coffee and doughnuts, lunch and beverages at the turn and dinner.

After golf, awards for winning team, 50-50 putting contest and best score will be presented, as will prizes, such as a big screen TV and gift cards from area retailers.

Golfers are encouraged to reserve their spots as soon as possible because of limited spaces. Call Nick Harris at 330-509-4717. This summer, the group will sponsor three Austintown children afflicted with neuromuscular disease to attend Camp Cheerful in Strongsville, Ohio.
