“GAME OF THRONES” (9 p.m., HBO): From King Joffrey’s ill-fated wedding and the gruesome trial by combat, to last week’s mammoth clash on the Wall, Season 4 of this epic fantasy has been packed with jaw-dropping, mind-blowing moments. Now comes the season finale. Can the show top itself once again? We’d bet Tyrion’s (Peter Dinklage) life on it.

“The Escape Artist” (9 p.m., PBS): David Tennant, who earned rave reviews for his work in “Doctor Who” and “Broadchurch,” shines once again in “The Escape Artist.” It’s a two-part “Masterpiece Mystery!” thriller that has him playing a defense lawyer known for being a legal Houdini.

Little River Band, fireworks show

CANFIELD

An evening of fireworks and music with the Little River Band will begin at 6 p.m. June 28 at Canfield Fairgrounds, state Route 46.

Gates will open at 4 p.m. for the family event, which will include bounce houses, pony rides and fair food.

JD Eicher and the Goodnights will perform at 6 p.m., with the Little River Band at 8 p.m. Fireworks will begin at 10 p.m.

Admission is $10 per car.

Rain date is June 29.

Poland Forest photo contest

POLAND

The Friends of Poland Forest’s second-annual photography competition and exhibition is accepting entries.

Photos must be taken within the forest and must focus on nature. Contest rules and entry forms are available in The Cafe at Wittenauer’s, Poland Village Hall, the kiosks at the forest’s entrances and at various businesses. Entry fee is $10 per person for up to two entries. The contest is for amateurs in three age divisions: 12 and under, 13 to 19, and 20 and over.

Awards will be given to the top photo in each division, plus one Best in Show. Winners in each group will receive a $25 gift certificate from YM Camera or The Photo Place. The Best in Show will receive an additional $25 gift certificate and another for framing from Frameworks. All entrants receive a one-year membership in Friends of Poland Forest.
