Carrie Anne Klimko and Jonathan David Cole, both of Phoenix, exchanged vows in a Jan. 1 ceremony at La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club, officiated by the Rev. Brent Ross.

A reception followed at La Jolla Shores Hotel. A second reception took place May 25 at Johnny’s Restaurant in Boardman. The couple are planning a Sept. wedding trip to the Great Barrier Reef in Australia.

The bride is the daughter of John and Kathy Klimko of Hubbard, and the groom is the son of Robert and Brenda Cole of La Costa, Calif.

The bride’s strapless ball gown was fashioned of tulle and glitter netting over taffeta. It featured a draped crisscross bodice with a sweetheart neckline accented with crystal beading and rhinestones.

Bridesmaids, wearing petunia pink, were Jennifer Wright, Beth August-Abbott and Cassandra Clyde, all cousins of the bride; and Kaitlyn Cole, the groom’s sister.

Groomsmen were Jeremy Cole, the groom’s brother; John Klimko, the bride’s brother; Ruben Mier; and Harsha Dandamudi.

Mrs. Cole earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Miami University of Ohio. She is a senior accountant for PetSmart in Phoenix.

Mr. Cole graduated from the University of California at San Diego with a bachelor’s degree in molecular biology and finance and from the University of Virginia with a master’s degree in business administration. He is a senior finance manager for Procter & Gamble Co. in Phoenix.
