Safety day today at Mosquito Lake State Park

The Bazetta Township Police Department and Mosquito Lake Marina will have the 12th annual Safety Day from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at Mosquito Lake State Park.

It will include vehicles and representatives from local police and fire departments, state and federal agencies and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The Bazetta Police Department will fingerprint children.

Booths from various safety organizations will be available, along with public- safety presentations.

The Mahoning Valley Crisis Response Team tactical vehicle “Bear” will be available. Also on hand will be the Howland Fire Department safety trailer, Trumbull County Haz-Mat Team, Trumbull County Sheriff’s Dive Team, Heather Merritt’s Birds In Flight Sanctuary, U.S. Air Force Security Services and a stun-gun demonstration. The Metro Life Flight helicopter will land at noon.
