POLICE CALLS

A summary of recent criminal activity in the city of Canfield and Austintown:

CANFIELD

June 3

Drugs: Police arrested Alexandra Tomlinson, 19, of Butler Grange Road, Salem, on charges of drug possession and drug abuse.

Warrants: Donald Green, 49, of Maple St., Andover, was arrested on a traffic violation and two warrants out of Columbiana County.

June 4

Warrant: Abby Shack, 20, of Alabama Avenue, Sebring, was arrested on a mayor’s court warrant charging her with failure to appear on a traffic violation.

June 5

Warrant: Richard Lipp, 44, of W. Pinelake Road, Salem, surrendered and was arrested on a Mayor’s Court warrant charging him with failure to appear on a traffic violation.

AUSTINTOWN

June 2

Breaking and entering: Two apartment dryers were damaged and coins were taken at Greenbriar Village Apartments, 2202 S. Raccoon Road.

Theft: A theft was reported at a home in the 5000 block of Radcliffe Avenue.

Warrant: Frank Clark, 32, of Watson-Marshall Road, Mineral Ridge, was arrested on a warrant charging failure to appear on a traffic charge.

Theft: MyLindsie Allison, 23, of West Ravenwood Avenue, Youngstown, was arrested on a charge of theft at Walmart, 6001 Mahoning Ave. Taken were a pair of tennis shoes valued at $16.05.

June 2

Theft: Mail was stolen from a home in the 50 block of Westminister Avenue.

Warrant: Richard Lightner, 30, of West Main Street was arrested on a warrant charging him with failure to appear.

Theft: John Papic, 28, of Alabama Avenue, Sebring, was arrested on charges of theft and possession of drugs, a vial of methamphetamine, and Darren Kleinman, 27, of New York Avenue, Sebring, was arrested on a charge of complicity in the theft of $218.96 in merchandise at Walmart.

Drug offense: Cassandra Drumm, 20, homeless, was arrested on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and drug-abuse instruments.

Disorderly conduct: Christina Baluch, 40, of 515 S. Schenley Ave., Youngstown, was issued a summons charging disorderly conduct.

Domestic violence: Jamie Gerthing, 38, of ldlewood Road was arrested on a charge of domestic violence.

Fraud: A $100 fraudulent withdrawal on a PNC bank account was reported at a home in the 20 block of Patterson Court.

June 3

Theft: A water heater was stolen from a home in the 400 block of Forest Hill Drive.

Theft: A necklace was left behind at CAT scan table at St. Elizabeth’s, 6252 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: A wallet was stolen at Quaker Steak and Lube, 5800 Interstate Blvd.

Theft: Tools were stolen at Red Carpet Automotive, 1711 S. Raccoon Road.

Theft: An unknown male was taking Monster Energy drinks at Wedgewood Pizza, 1622 S. Raccoon Road.

Theft: Joshua Boles, 24, of 10734 Williams Road, Diamond, was issued a summons charging theft of candy and protein bars.

Criminal damaging: A vehicle was damaged at Oakwood and Carnegie avenues.

Animal complaint: Elaine Hetrick, 58, of 160 S. Navarre Ave. was issued a summons charging her with leaving noxious odors or unsanitary conditions in the back of her house from numerous dogs she keeps inside the house.

Warrant: Anthony Sedeita, 48, of S. DeHoff Drive was arrested on a charge of criminal trespassing, and three active warrants charging theft, at the TA Travel Center, 5400 Seventy-Six Drive. He is accused of stealing two CB radio microphones valued at $99.98.

Theft: Anthony Seidita, 48, of S. DeHoff Drive was arrested on a charge of theft of numerous packs of cigarettes, which had a total value of $210, at Walmart.

Telecommunication harassment: There is a suspect in telecommunication harassment at a home in the 4000 block of Kirk Road.

Theft: A purse stolen in Warren had credit cards in it used in Austintown at Walmart.

Theft: Jenna Latessa, 19, of Donald Ave. was issued two summonses charging complicity and contributing to the unruliness of a juvenile when she and a juvenile were caught purportedly stealing $40.97 in merchandise at Kmart, 4475 Mahoning Ave.

June 4

Disorderly conduct: Angela Roy, 43, of S. Canfield-Niles Road was issued a summons for disorderly conduct.

Assault: An assault was reported at a home in the 1000 block of Burr Oaks Court.

June 5

Theft: Cindy Mann, 50, of North Kimberly Avenue was arrested and charged with shoplifting makeup valued at $56.58 at Giant Eagle, 5220 Mahoning Ave.

Warrant: Andrew Jacobson, 36, of Riblett Road, was arrested on a warrant charging failure to appear on a traffic violation.

Theft: Unauthorized charges were made to an account at a home in the 4000 block of Warwick South.

Theft: Tami Dean, 41, of Holford Street, Niles, was issued a summons charging theft of $42.56 in merchandise at Walmart.

Menacing by stalking: A female-versus-female report of menacing while stalking was made at a home in the 5000 block of E. Viola Road.

Warrant: Rikki Virden, 33, of Pembrook Road, Youngstown, was arrested on a warrant charging assault.

June 6

Disorderly conduct: Korie Ball, 23, of West Middletown Road was issued a summons charging disorderly conduct.

Theft: Two catalytic converters were stolen from Top Choice Motors, 220 S. Meridian Road.

Identity theft: An IRS tax return was filed by persons unknown at a home in the 900 block of Collins Street.

Drug offense: Jeffrey Starr, 35, of 244 Westminister Avenue was issued two summons charging drug abuse of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Burglary: An iPad 2, iPad mini watch and money were stolen at a home in the 1000 block of County Line Road.

June 7

Identity theft: An Ohio Edison account was opened in the victim’s name. The bill was for $385.57.

Warrant: Nancy Dorbish, 38, of Norquest Boulevard was arrested on a warrant charging theft.

Burglary: A television was stolen from a home in the 20 block of North Four Mile Run Road.

Theft: Terrance Hymes, 43, of S. Whitney Ave., Youngstown, was arrested on charges of possessing criminal tools and theft at Walmart.

June 8

Obstructing official business: Raquel Kravec, 44, of Tippecanoe Road was issued a summons charging obstructing official business.

Warrant: Robert Whetstone, of North Park Avenue, was arrested on warrants charging forgery and theft, after he allegedly wrote forged checks for $3,455 from another person’s account.

Warrant: Eric Whetstone, 32, of South Raccoon Road, was arrested on three warrants charging grand theft, forgery and assault.

Animal complaint: Melissa Paterchak, 48, of South Raccoon Road, was issued a summons charging failure to confine a barking dog.

Warrant: Delbert Kellar, 39, of Fifth Street, Niles, was arrested on a warrant charging failure to comply with a court order.

Assault: A female was struck in the face at Reliant Packaging, 120 Victoria Road.

Theft: An unknown female left items and fled at Walmart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: An employee of Walmart, Lavontae Knight,18, of Ferndale Ave., Youngstown, was arrested on a charge of theft of a Stylus pen, valued at $16.80, and is under investigation after he claimed to have stolen over $200 in merchandise from the store over the past year.

Burglary: A cellphone was taken in a burglary at a home in the 400 block of Southward Drive.
