Maurice Clarett involved in Father's Day youth events Saturday

YOUNGSTOWN — The Comeback Project and City Kids Care, along with Maurice Clarett, the former Ohio State University running back, have a number of activities planned for youth over the Father’s Day weekend.

On Friday, there was a father/child basketball game at the Wilson Middle School on the city’s South Side.

These events are set for Saturday:

• The first Maurice Clarett Youth Football Camp and Cleat Giveaway from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Volney Rogers Field in Mill Creek Park on the South Side.

• Free youth-skating party from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Youngstown Skate on Tiffany Boulevard in Boardman.

On Sunday, a Father’s Day service will be at 10:45 a.m. at Rising Star Baptist Church, 2943 Wardle Ave., on the city’s East Side.
