Youngstown man drowns in Pa. quarry

HILLSVILLE, Pa.

The Mahoning Township Police Department said a 20-year-old Youngstown man died after drowning in a quarry off of Eric Drive about 8 p.m. Monday.

A news release said the victim is Aaron Mahdee. The release said the quarry is a private quarry and it called Mahdee’s death an “accidental drowning.”

The Lawrence County Coroner’s Office is investigating the case.
