Rachel Hilfer and Joseph Cretella, both of Savannah, Ga., are engaged, their parents are announcing.

The parents of the bride-elect are Ron and Lori Hilfer of North Royalton, Ohio. His parents are Mike and Margie Cretella of Austintown.

The couple plan a 2 p.m. ceremony July 5 at St. John the Baptist Cathedral, and a reception will follow at the Charles Morris Center, both in Savannah. Invitations will be extended for both.

The future bride is a graduate of Ohio State University and received a degree in hospitality management and business. She works as a sales manager for The Hilton Garden Inn in the historic district of Savannah.

Her fiancé also is a graduate of Ohio State University, where he received a degree in hospitality management and business. He is a graduate of the Pennsylvania Culinary Institute and is executive chef for DIRTT Environmental Solutions in Savannah.
