Notar leaving Warren schools for Conneaut

The Board of Education of Conneaut Area Schools in Ashtabula County hired Warren Superintendent Michael Notar today to a three-year contract to be its next superintendent.

Christopher Newcomb, board president, said Notar will earn $97,000 the first year staring Aug. 1, followed by $98,500 in year two and $100,000 in year three.

Notar, 45, who became Warren superintendent two years ago, earned $110,000 his first year in Warren. He took over Warren’s top job after his predecessor, Bruce Thomas, abrupty resigned June 24, 2012, after less than a year on the job.
