Mahoning Valley car sales down a bit in May

YOUNGSTOWN — Car sales in the Mahoning Valley were down in the month of May, but not by much.

The Automobile Dealers Association of Eastern Ohio data released today shows there were 5,973 cars sold last month compared to 6,004 in May 2013.

The leader in sales for new and used cars, Greenwood Chevrolet of Austintown, however, showed an increase in sales for May, with 316 sold this year and 272 sold last year.
