Heritage meeting will feature ex-POW

CANFIELD

The World War II Heritage Society will meet at 6:30 p.m. June 16 at A La Cart Catering, 429 Lisbon St.

The speaker will be Donald R. Freer, a WW II U.S. Army Air Corps POW, who was liberated May 15, 1945.

He worked in Huntsville, Ala., and Cape Canaveral, Fla., where he supported the efforts of the Apollo missions.

The cost is $14 per person and checks should be sent to David G. Frank, 2692 Windpoint Trail, Poland, OH 44514, by Saturday.
