Farm to YOU offers weekly summer shares

YOUNGSTOWN

Grow Youngstown’s Farm to YOU, a Community Supported Agriculture style market, sources produce from farmers within a 30-mile radius of Youngstown and Warren.

While providing local small farmers with a consistent market, it supplies its members these fresh seasonal foods with convenient one-stop pickup at one of five locations in Youngstown, Warren, Boardman and Poland.

Grow Youngstown’s Farm to YOU program is selling summer shares with weekly pickups every Tuesday from June to October. The share can be purchased as a family or a single size share with the prices for each share $496 and $275 respectively. This breaks down to $27 per week for family shares and $15 per week for single shares.

Family shares have about 8 to 10 items and single shares have 4 to 6 items. The shares will include produce such as arugula, asparagus, beets, blueberries, kale, peas, strawberries, squash, broccoli, lettuce, peas, tomatoes, corn, cabbage and much more.

Subsidized shares are available for individuals and families who are at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level.
