Farmers' market on South Side Tuesday

YOUNGSTOWN — The Idora Neighborhood Farmers’ Market’s grand opening is 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at 2600 Glenwood Ave.

The outdoor market on the city’s South Side, on the corner of Glenwood and Sherwood avenues, will be every Tuesday from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. to Sept. 30.

Today’s opening will include a cooking demonstration and a free raffle.

Farm-fresh products available at the market will include goods from Carol’s Homemade Baked Goods, Dandelion Lane Farm, Her Primitive Ways, Iron Roots Urban Farm, Lady Buggs Farm, Jackson ’Maters Farm, and the Zaney Pearl. Gourmet food trucks will also be parked to offer prepared food.

The Idora Neighborhood Farmers’ Market accepts Ohio Electronic Benefit Transfer cards; Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) coupons; and Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program coupons.

The market is hosted by the Youngstown Neighborhood Development Corp.
